As part of our efforts to collaborate with districts in advocating for the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities, CEPIL (Center for Public Interest Law)—an organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of marginalized and vulnerable groups through legal advocacy, public education, and policy engagement—staff, alongside Mr. Yaw Debra, Chairman of the National Council on Persons with Disability, paid a courtesy visit to the newly established Asunafo North Municipal Assembly in the Ahafo North Region.
During the visit, we met with the Coordinating Director, Mr. Mohammed Yakubu, who emphasized his ongoing efforts to integrate the needs of persons with disabilities into various projects within his jurisdiction. Through its work, CEPIL continues to provide legal support and guidance to ensure that the rights of persons with disabilities are recognized and upheld in local development initiatives.
